Part two of a three part series. We spent 4 nights in Tokyo and although I am not dying to go back, I would not mind visiting again. It was our second time there and we had a very good time. I will say one thing though, the subway is not the most child friendly place... I was having to carry my son with the push chair up and down stairs, along with all our bags and camera equipment, hell of a work out.
We visited the Yodobashi store, it is camera heaven. They have massive selections of all brands, also a floor dedicated to lighting equipment and so on. It was definitely a huge improvement over the Okinawa selection of camera stores.
Simon needs to be entertained often, everyone always compliments us and says "KAWAIIIIIII" which means cute in Japanese. So this girl was trying to be sneaky and take a snap of Nicola and Simon interacting, so i jumped in front of her and took it instead, so really I have to give her some credit :D
Do people look at me and think I am strange for photographing certain scenarios? Sure, but this image just feels real to me, this is very common on trains/buses and we often overlook it, unless it is our snoring friend, then we take a video of it and laugh at them later.
You would think Simon is lost in a forest but he is just practicing his baby walking skills in rough terrain, a few seconds after the above image was taken he proceeded to scream for mummy to get him out of the dangerous jungle!
The man and I were next to each other on the sidewalk, I looked at him and he nodded. As soon as the walking man came on, I sprinted in front of him and started snapping away, I took his nodding as permission to photograph him, he obviously didn't have an issue with it.
How random is this? We happen to be in Japan, with Simon and we come across this sign... Of course i had to keep it.
I was never a fan of pork, never a fan of soup or noodles, but Japan has made me a believer. One thing I will definitely miss is certain food here.
One thing I've learned is that if you want someone to do something, you just have to do it yourself and they will mirror you. PEACE!
We went to Ginza for a stroll and we ended up getting some nice photos of the lovely Nicola, see below:
I hope you enjoyed these, part three will be the sumo matches. Please register and subscribe to follow my blog posts, thanks.
